The Not Old Better Show, Fitness Friday Interview Series

Hi, I’m Paul Vogelzang.  and a welcome welcome to the Not Old Better Show.  Today’s show is brought to you by POM Wonderful and Word Collect.  As part of our Fitness Friday series, we’re joined today by author, super athlete, multiple Ironman contestant, and returning guest, Not Old Better Show favorite Dr Ruth Heidrich.

We’ve got a packed Fitness Friday episode today with long-time guest Dr. Ruth Heidrich. Dr. Ruth Heidrich is a six-time Ironman Triathlon finisher, holder of more than 900 gold medals from every distance from 100-meter dashes to 5K road races to ultra marathons and triathlons.  She has completed more than 60 marathons worldwide, including Boston, New York, and Moscow, and has held three world fitness records in her age group at the famed Cooper Clinic in Dallas, Texas.  She also was named one of the “Top Ten Fittest Women in North America” in 1999.

Dr. Ruth Heidrich is the author of Senior Fitness, A Race For Life, The CHEF Cook/Rawbook, several videos, and co-host of a weekly talk show, Nutrition & You, on KWAI, Honolulu, Hawaii.  Most recently, Dr. Ruth Heidrich is the author of the brand new important book, ‘Breast Implant Illness: A Living Nightmare,’ Dr. Ruth’s personal experience with breast implant illness.

Dr. Ruth Heidrich is a graduate of UCLA, and she has taught in this field at the University of Hawaii, and at age 47 was diagnosed with rapidly spreading breast cancer.  Today, Dr. Ruth Heidrich is 82; a plant-based vegan diet saved her, and she’s here today to talk about the subject of erectile dysfunction, an important one for The Not Old Better Audience.

Please join me in welcoming you to The Not Old Better Show, Fitness Friday show on radio, and podcast Dr. Ruth Heidrich.

My thanks to our sponsors today: POM Wonderful and Word Collect.  Please support our sponsors and check our show notes today for more details.  My thanks to our guest today, Dr. Ruth Heidrich.  You’ll find more information about Dr. Ruth Heidrich on our website, where there’ll be links to her books and other resources, but as you just heard from Dr. Heidrich herself, you can go to and “Ask Dr. Ruth,” and she’ll respond quickly, privately and with her notable expertise.  My thanks to you, my wonderful Not Old Better Show audience on radio and podcast…please be well and be safe, which I’m mentioning in every show because I want to bring attention to the issue of assault rifles, which aren’t safe, in anyone’s hands but the military and law enforcement.  Assault rifles are killing our children and grandchildren in the very places they learn: schools!  Please, let’s work together to eliminate assault rifles, and let’s do better.  Let’s talk about Better…the Not Old Better Show on radio and podcast; thanks, everybody.

Please check it out.

Thanks, everybody.
