🎙️ What does a life of creative longevity sound like? In Martha Reeves’ case, it still has plenty of rhythm, purpose and joy. 💃🏾🎶

For more than six decades, her voice has powered enduring Motown records including “Dancing in the Street,” “Heat Wave,” “Jimmy Mack” and “Nowhere to Run.” At 85, she remains focused on the next song. “The word retirement doesn’t mean a thing to me,” she says. 🔥

Her new album, Searching, is her first in 22 years. Recorded in New Orleans, the project brings Motown soul together with jazz, blues, gospel and rhythm and blues. Reeves describes the sessions as “a magic carpet ride.” 🎺✨
